I’m about to begin Zadie Smith’s Swing Time. Just finished Kathleen Grissom’s Kitchen House. Although she’s a white author, her novel is centered on slavery and the antebellum.

I enjoyed Swing Time more than some of Smith’s more recent works. Curious to hear how it hits you. I don’t know Kitchen House. Thanks for the rec!
